Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a very different experience than most other styles of yoga and there is no skill required!
Restorative yoga is a peaceful, restful practice which is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching, and is suitable for practitioners of all levels. By definition, restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds asanas (poses/postures) for a longer duration, using props like yoga blocks, bolsters and blankets. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind..
When engaging in restorative class, participants may move very little, shaping the body in just a few postures over the course of an hour; and, through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly
Restorative yoga is wonderful for both true yoga beginners and more seasoned practitioners—everyone benefits from weaving low-impact, low-intensity movement into their fitness routine. - Learn about what restorative yoga is and why it's important to slow down and embrace the power of rest by registering for a class today.
